Music at Cremations and Crematoriums
As with a church funeral, music can be at the heart of a service in a crematorium, be it hymns or songs, or both. Some crematoria have an organ and organist to accompany hymns, or use a system offering pre-recorded accompaniments.
At Singers for Funerals, we provide our soloists with high quality recorded accompaniments that can either be played through the crematorium's sound system, or through our own discreet portable PA system.
Funeral services at crematoriums are usually only 20 minutes in duration, with ten minutes taken with the entrance and exit processions. If you wish a more personalised service with music, personal tributes and readings, or you have a large number of guests attending, you should book an extended service of approximately 50 minutes.
Our Singers for Funerals soloists can sing at various points during the service as requested:
• as the funeral procession enter
• singing a favourite song during the service
• leading family and guests in hymns
• during the committal
• as the family and guests leave
