Toni and Kirsty sang at my mums funeral in Basingstoke Holy Ghost Church and Basingstoke Crematorium. Their voices were lovely and their harmonies were so beautiful I only wish I had a recording (though it would only make me cry). When you have to arrange a funeral, it is daunting, as it’s mercifully not something you do often. In the middle of all the grief and confusion, Toni took time to explain how the services (church and crematorium) would work, helped calculate timings so we wouldn’t overrun, and helped choose both the classical and contemporary songs. We gave my mum, who loved music and singing a beautiful send off. It was made special and personal by her favourite hymns and songs, sung so beautifully by these talented ladies.

I just want to thank you so much for your beautiful singing at my husband’s funeral yesterday. I wish I could have recorded all the comments from everyone who was at the service. Everyone, but everyone, said your voice was stunning, that the singing was so beautiful, that you ‘made’ the service as indeed you did. What a find you are.

I didn’t have the chance to hear the Ave Verum as we were outside the church, and I missed most of the Ave Maria for the same reason, but I just closed my eyes and absorbed the Laudate which I loved. Your leading of the hymns worked so well, and it just all blended in with the rest of the mass so smoothly.

So thank you Toni for your part in making the service so beautiful. As I mentioned before, most of the congregation were not religious, certainly not catholic, but they all loved it.

Without any rehearsal, you were able to adapt to our requirements for meaningful hymns with beautiful accompanying music flowing seamlessly alongside your singing. You knew when to appear at just the right moment, were visible to the whole congregation and you dressed so beautifully for the occasion too. Apart from the above Toni, your voice is outstanding. I was mesmerized by your rendition of Ave Maria and moved to tears. Feedback from others at the funeral was so enthusiastic too. They all said they were touched by your wonderful voice, sincerity of presentation and overall performance. Time to Say Goodbye was most people’s favourite, moving song. My Aunt was a bit of a perfectionist herself and I know she would have thoroughly approved of your amazing contribution to a beautiful service. Thank you once again Toni.
